Keynote Speakers: Frank Sutherland, former editor of the Tennessean Newspaper will kick off the Sunday general session. Frank is a Nashville native, and has a host of stories and tales about the Music City. In honor of its 50th annual conference, MFM will also be presenting the Founders Award to Tom Carroll, Chairman of Carroll Publishing, a print and online publishing company he founded in 1973. Carroll, who served as the Association’s chief elected officer from 1962-1963 and its first vice president, began his career in the industry in 1953. In the final morning General Session on Tuesday, May 25th, Steven Waldman, FCC Senior Advisor to Chairman Julius Genachowski, will expand upon his remarks on the future role of the Internet and journalism. Also confirmed to speak are: Josh Sapan, President & CEO of Rainbow Media and this year’s winner of the MFM Avatar Award; Dr. David E. Altig, SVP and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; and Alison Brown, CFO of Compass Records and Grammy Award winning banjo player.

AUGUST 1, 2009 - We are very pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached between INFE (Interactive and Newsmedia Financial Executives) and MFM (Media Financial Management Association) that will combine the organizations into one under MFM's leadership.
